The 600-hour Massage Therapy program is taught in conjunction with theory classes, instruction, testing, and practice. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion that meets the requirements for the MBLEx national entry-level exam, which can be used to apply for licensure as a Massage Therapist in the State of Maine. The program offers education in therapeutic massage, with a foundation in Swedish massage and a focus on deep tissue, trigger point, and advanced techniques, emphasizing stress injuries and injury recovery-based massage. The end result is a training that is rich in content and emphasizes the professional development necessary for a successful private practice or clinical setting. 
 

Note: The State of Maine requires 500 clock hours of study for a license. The program contains 500 clock hours of course material and 100 clock hours of student clinical practice to ensure that you have a wide skill set, as well as adequate experience in the student clinic to give you the confidence to be ready to work after graduation. The additional hours are based on experience and employer feedback.
